Tremiti Islands

The Tremiti are a small corner of paradise that has attracted thousands of tourists from all over the world for years.

The crystal clear sea, the wild and unspoiled nature, the bays and the promoters make this place enchanting and unforgettable. The archipelago consists of five islands: San Domino, San Nicola, Capraia, Cretaccio and Pianosa. San Domino, the largest island, was called the garden of paradise as it was covered by a forest of Aleppo pines. San Nicola, considered an open-air museum, rich in monuments, bears witness to the history of the islands.

Capraia covered with grass and flowers is a favorite abode of seagulls. Cretaccio, slightly larger than a rock, is a natural bridge between San Domino and San Nicola. Pianosa is an integral reserve of the Marine Park.

“This place favors my visionary way of telling the world and then helps to dream, especially when there is a wonderful starry sky that you can only see the same in the Sahara”. This is how Lucio Dalla, the Bolognese singer-songwriter who had chosen, as a second home, the archipelago, described the Tremiti islands.
